days 8 and 9

Day 8 - We were in Footprint Cave for most of the day.  It was very interesting...we had to paddle ourselves in on innertubes.  I got stuck a few times in the current and paddled with all my might, but stayed in the same place.  Climbing the rocks was interesting too...pretty treacherous.  Saw many ancient Mayan firesites. Ate in the cave. Floated out eventually, although apparently even going with the current is difficult for me. We visited Blue Hole again afterwards, but I was so cold I didn't particularly want to go swimming again.
Day 9 - We met a dear lady that runs a clinic in Belize and had lunch there. We crossed the border into Guatemala today. We got a guide and travelled through Tikal National Park. Met some coatimundis.  We stayed at a lodge there overnight.
