days 1, 2, and 3

Day 1 - My first ride on an airplane turned out to be not so bad.  It was pretty awesome, actually. When we got off, I felt like a little kid in a carnival - "I wanna do it again!" After the Belizean airport put us through customs and all that, we were home free...to drive the unpaved roads of Crooked Tree.  The lodge was really nice, especially the view of the lake. Went to the Nazarene church there on Sunday, day 2 and went for a tour around the lake later. Day 3 - We met up with the choir and travelled with them for a while.  We visited Altun Ha as well as the Belize River with them after watching them perform.  After parting ways, our group went to the Belize Zoo. Ha ha, gotta love the spider monkeys!

this one's called the Jesus Christ bird, since it "walks on water" - hmm, more like lilypads...
